The Sorcerer’s Songs

Blurb:
If I knew then, what I know now
I’d like to think I’d choose a different way to go
But, my mistakes have paved the way
Down this dark and lonely, dead-end road

Poised on a stool in a corner of yet another bar, in front of a crowd of maybe fifty, the harmonies he played reached out to those around him. The rhythms in his head stirred his heart. For a man of magic, a sorcerer with powers he had never asked for, his musical talents were sung spells.  They were his weapon of defense against loneliness, bringing people to him like a siren’s song.  Yet, for the most part, he let his music haunt the deeper needs of those who listened—letting musical phrasings stir wants unnamed or purposely forgotten. Although he felt but a living and breathing jukebox, these strangers who came to see him play were the only lives he could touch. He reached out to them with his songs.

That is until one night one of Adam’s songs lures him back toward his hometown, and he calls out for Stacey, the one he was forced to leave behind all those years ago. Only this time she wants answers as to why he left, and maybe a bit of revenge for the heart he destroyed.

NOTE:
I wrote The Sorcerer’s Songs using my husband's song lyrics to create the plot.
If you would like to hear snippets of the songs, watch the book trailer video on YouTube or go to BroadJam to listen to the song that inspired the book, The Road along with two other songs featured in the book.

Reviews:
"The Sorcerer’s Songs is a tender paranormal romance I thoroughly enjoyed.  It is a tale of magic, first love, heartbreak, forgiveness and redemption.  Adams frustration over his present life and regret over his past was palatable to this reader. Adam’s life …was poignantly rendered by Ms. Howell ...  Life is full of magical moments.  In the magic of the melody of Ms. Howell’s story it is believable.  Her (Stacey) quick realization that her love for the boy flames still, kept me racing to read this story’s ending.  Ms. Howell’s novella…sang to me.  It will to you too." ~Justine at eBook Addict Reviews

Genres: Contemporary, Paranormal (Sorcerer), Sensual Romance

A Modern Day Witch Hunt

Blurb: Kamillia is an author of paranormal romances living in an upscale suburb of ClevelandOhio. Accused of being an actual witch herself by an ambitious group of businessmen with a dark agenda, she is surprised to find a man who resembles one of her fictional, alpha male heroes at her door offering her protection.

Luca is an immortal Watcher from the River of Light. Sent to Earth to help Kamillia, whose true heritage has yet to be revealed to her, Luca is caught off guard by the fighting spirit of the woman and the way his human body betrays him in her presence.

When research for her next novel requires Kamillia to travel to Italy, she and Luca are forced to join together despite numerous obstacles to overcome the evil of many centuries blocking a portal there. Only then, can she return to the problems awaiting her in her own city, with or without this stranger who has captured her heart but cannot share her future.

Reviews:
"Kamillia, the heroine of Kiki Howell’s A Modern Day Witch Hunt (eXcessica Publishing, 2009), is like a female version of Harry Potter, mixed with Sookie Stackhouse and Sarah Connor.

The sex? Scorching, yet still achingly romantic and mystical. The sadness? Just as overwhelming.”~Review By Erin O’Riordan  4/5 Stars!

Genres: Urban Fantasy (Witches & Watchers, Past Lives), Horror (Ghosts), Erotic Romance
Adult Content Warnings: M/F sex - Explicit Graphic Language, Violence

Rituals

Blurb: After a Wiccan ritual opens her eyes to her old friend, Maddie’s first week together with Ryan, goes by in a blur of knots and ropes.

Together, they find the freedom they seek in bondage.  But, when Maddie’s controlling ex-husband returns hell-bent on taking her back, will Ryan and Maddie be bound by the past or become tied to each other?

Reviews:
I could tell the author has done her research concerning Wiccan rites.  As a result of the author’s attention to detail and excellent writing, I would definitely love to read more of this author’s work as well as read other books along the line of this genre.

Now…I love a steamy love story…and, boy did “Rituals” deliver!!!  It wasn’t steamy, it was scorching!!!  Did I say scorching?  I meant blistering!!!

“Rituals” has all the components I need in a love story to keep me glued to the pages:  love, lust, and suspense.  With the added benefit of a new genre that I see myself indulging in more in the future, you are looking at one happy reader!!!  “Rituals” is a must read!  ~Reviewer:  Nefertari - RBR Reviewer, Rating:  5/5 Blood Drops

Genres: Contemporary, Wiccan/Magic Realism, Erotic Romance
Adult Content Warnings: M/F Sex - Explicit Graphic Language, Mild BDSM and Violence
