The air conditioner hummed to life as she toweled off and found
her favorite, beat to hell, kimono. A glass of wine, some crackers and cheese,
and fruit then she’d find something mindless on TV to watch until she was ready
to sleep.
In bed, she curled herself around a cache of throw pillows and
