My Review of “Meant To Be” by Jennifer Labelle and Friday Favorites Author Interview!

My Review (see below Interview for Author and Novel Information)

I gave this book 5 out of 5 Stars on Goodreads!

I read this story in one evening, I became so engrossed in its very emotional story. The plight of the heroine grabs you as if you were hearing about a friend. There was an element of mystery to the tale, hinted at, which made me anxiously read faster and faster to get an explanation. This is a story of love and betrayal, of dreams shattered - as frail as the bodies which house them, of family and friends support no matter what, and the possibilities of life - dream vacations and all. I am a sucker for anything Ireland, being my maiden name was Quinn, and this Irish-ending story did not disappoint. I will definitely be looking for more by this author!

Favorite Genre(s):

Contemporary romance, historical, erotic, and anything paranormal

List of at least 5 Favorite Books in that Genre:

Sorry, can’t narrow it down to specific books, so instead I shared a few of my favorite author’s and series.

1.       Keri Arthur - Riley Jenson Guardian series.
2.       Kathy Love - I Want You to Want Me, Anyway You Want It, Demon Can’t Help It, etc….
3.       Lauren Dane – Brown Sibling Series
4.       Deanna Raybourn – Julia Grey Series (A writer so talented, that she could make a drug addict seem appealing. Shocking I know, but it fascinates me with how she pulled it off. This series was very well written.)
5.       Richie Cusick – The Unseen

Favorite Book of All Time

Jewels, no matter how many times I read it, it still makes me cry every single time. Love it though!

Favorite Book Read Last Month:

Lumber and Lace by Lietha Wards

Favorite Book You Wrote:

What a tough question, can I choose them all…LOL

Um, to narrow it down I’d have to say my November release, Second Chance Love. Liam is my dream man, literally. His character derived from a conversation with my sister one afternoon as we discussed the unfortunate tragedy of our mother’s death. Her only fault was her taste in men, and it made me really think about who my perfect guy was. He’s for her, for me, and for all women in general. I hope you all love Liam as much as I do, although my heroine Teegan is pretty great too!

Give Us One More Favorite Thing Beyond Books:

My children, my family, and the precious time spent with them. Time really does fly by fast, and I do the best I can to enjoy seeing them grow. They’re precious everyday pains in the butt, but also my whole world.

WC Reviews:
“In this highly emotional tale, you will lose your heart to heroine Jenna Baker and all of the characters will evoke passions, both good and bad. I have never read a book like this in my life and cannot wait to see what author Jennifer Labelle comes up with next. I really don’t know where to start reviewing this amazing story of life, love, and death but might try by saying that it is a nail biting, heart crying, mad as hell tale that will leave you wanting more stories from Ms. Labelle.”
